This Privacy Policy explains how track4trace (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile applications, including StockCounter.

Our apps are designed to work offline first and do not collect any personal information unless explicitly stated.

We collect only what is necessary for the app to function:

1.1 Camera Usage

Some of our apps (including StockCounter) use your device’s camera to:

  • Take pictures of labels

  • Extract text using on-device OCR (ML Kit)

✔ Images captured through the camera are processed locally on your device.
✔ We do NOT send or upload images to any server.

1.2 Local Storage

Our apps may temporarily store files on your device’s internal storage, such as:

  • Exported TXT or CSV files

  • Locally saved scans

  • Cache files required for app functionality

✔ These files remain on your device unless you delete them manually.
✔ We do not access any unrelated files on your device.

1.3 AdMob (Advertising Data)

We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads.

AdMob may automatically collect:

  • Device type

  • IP address (used for approximate location)

  • Advertising ID

  • Interactions with ads

This data is collected by Google, not by track4trace.

✔ You can opt-out of personalized ads inside your device settings.
✔ We do not receive any personally identifiable information (PII) from AdMob.

  • GPS location

  • Contacts or files
